ABOUT THE 251 CLUB

The 251 Club is a professional membership of men who support the charity Big Brothers Big Sisters. Big Brothers Big Sisters is the largest mentoring organization in the United States and along the central Gulf Coast. Our mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Our inaugural local 250 Club was in 2019 and rebranded in 2023 to 251 Club. Our goal is for our guests to leave feeling empowered to "be the one." This years 251 Club event will be held in downtown Mobile and will include fine food, cocktails, prizes, and entertainment.

The 250 Club began in 1970 with The 250 Dinner in Los Angeles. The event, held annually, was attended by 250 prestigious men who paid $250 per ticket. Three cities hosted a 250 dinner in those years; Los Angeles, San Diego and Philadelphia. The event has grown to be one of Big Brothers Big Sisters' largest fundraisers and has helped fill the need for more men to become Big Brothers. Along the central Gulf Coast, there is currently a waitlist for boys (ages 6-15) who are desperately seeking a positive male influence in their lives. As more men participate in or donate to The 251 Club, more boys will be taken off a waitlist to be matched with a male mentor. As Big Brothers Big Sisters is entirely donor supported, this event will greatly help change lives along the central Gulf Coast.
